1st invention patent for the year got aceg sanjian off to a flying start in sci-tech innovation

on january 12, 2021, “a butt-joint installation method for umbrella-shaped steel tube columns and steel girders” – a state-of-the-art technology – independently developed and invented by aceg sanjian co., ltd. – one of aceg`s subsidiaries, a professional civil engineering and construction contractor, was granted an invention patent by china national intellectual property administration (cnipa).

this is the first invention patent aceg sanjian obtained in 2021, which reflects a good start for the company to further strengthen its technical innovation and promote high-quality developments.

“the butt-joint installation method for umbrella-shaped steel tube columns and steel girders” is one of aceg sanjian`s science and technology research achievements in tackling the hard-nuts met in the first phase of the construction project – the buildings of the institute of public science and technology research of tsinghua university, it was completed by a young technical team headed by li bin. this is one of the achievements of the company`s extensive technology innovation and technology breakthroughs based on a large number of key construction projects with high, new, hard and cutting-edge characteristics.

during the 13th five-year plan period, aceg sanjian`s has set up its construction technology center as an innovation platform and published “aceg sanjian patent management measures” as incentive policies to mobilize its staffers` enthusiasm for scientific and technological innovation and as a result, the number of patent applications submitted and the number of patents granted increased significantly.

the construction technology center has actively organized movements of publicizing and implementing publicizing and implementation on patent knowledges and the academic leaders are encouraged to pair up with the patent application units for relative scientific research to guide the patent application works of related scientific researches and good results have been obtained, the company has been awarded the title of “national high and new technology enterprise”.

in 2020, aceg sanjian has obtained 24 utility model patents, another 9 invention patents have entered the evaluation stages and 6 patents have completed question/answer process of the evaluation; a total of 61 national-level patents have been applied, 9 of which have been granted utility model patents; 52 patents have been nominated, 16 of which were invention patents. the number of patents applied and patents obtained have both reached the highest in the past five years.
